Upselt S is a beautifully long-lined foal by the talented stallion McLaren (s. Morricone I). This promising foal stands out with three above-average gaits and shows great movement potential. The dam of Upselt S is the young PROK-certified mare Picobelle Tip Top Irene S. Her sire, Glock's Taminiau, is following in the footsteps of his Olympic sire, Glock's Toto Jr., and is building a successful career with rider Hans Peter Minderhoud. In 2022, Glock's Taminiau won the KWPN Stallion Competition, and in 2023, he made his international debut with an immediate victory. Upselt S is Picobelle's first offspring.

The granddam is the D-OC mare Lady Tip Top Irene S, sired by the renowned stallion Negro, who needs little introduction. Negro is a true producer of sport horses and has already earned legendary status as a top sire, including siring the two-time Olympic champion Valegro. So far, Picobelle Tip Top Irene S is her only offspring.
The great-granddam is the Elite, IBOP-dr, Sport-dr, and PROK certified mare Tip Top Irene (by Krack C). She competed successfully at Z2 level dressage and achieved an impressive score of 76.5 in her IBOP test, receiving 8s for both her walk and rideability. Tip Top Irene has produced, in addition to Lady Tip Top Irene S, the Ster, provisional Keur, and PROK mare Madame Tip Top Irene S (by Glock's Toto Jr.) and the internationally classified PSG/Inter I horse Kinetic S (by Negro) ridden by Kirsten Brouwer (NED).

Father McLaren is a dynamic, beautiful and strong moving son of the Oldenburg champion stallion and Burgpokal finalist Morricone out of a dam of Sir Donnerhal I - Akzent II. In addition to McLarens dam Samatha produced a Heavy Tour horse, two Small Tour horses and a Z2 horse. Ulf Tönjes from Ganderkesee is the breeder of McLaren.
McLaren impresses with his elastic, light-footed movements and imprint of the hind leg. Under the saddle he has a lot of balance, go and an uncomplicated, willing character. He completed the KWPN performance exam with 83.5 points. In the report, the jury praised his willingness, for which McLaren received a 9. As a four-year-old, he made it to the final of the Pavo Cup. He was the only one to receive the ultimate 10 from guest rider Philipp Hess!
Ridden by Dinja van Liere, the stallion won the KWPN Stallion Competitions in the L and M classes. The members of the jury of the stallion competitions spoke with nothing but superlatives: “This horse really has everything for the future.” In the meantime, McLaren has won his ZZ-Light debut at Indoor Friesland and continues to develop extremely positively under his regular rider Dinja van Liere.
